Your photographer will typically send you the final wedding day timeline 2–4 weeks before your wedding. They’ll coordinate the schedule for the entire day and let us know what time you need to be ready by.
We do not double-book weddings, so we’re able to accommodate the timeline your photographer creates.
FAQs
A trial is highly recommended, but certainly not required especially for the bride. It allows us to test your desired look, confirm that it photographs well, and make sure you feel confident and comfortable before the wedding day. However we do get super trusting brides who opt out of trials. And that’s okay! We take it slow on the wedding day and block off extra time.
We recommend scheduling your makeup trial 2–8 weeks before your wedding. This timing helps ensure that your skin is close to its final tone and condition for the wedding day.
If you plan to spray tan for your wedding, you may also spray tan for your trial so we can match your makeup to your desired complexion.
Even if you are only having a makeup trial, we highly recommend that your hair is freshly colored or toned. Your hair color can affect how your makeup looks, and you may not fully appreciate the makeup or see the tones accurately if your hair color is washing you out.
We recommend scheduling your hair trial 2–8 weeks before your wedding. This timing is especially important if you color your hair or plan to use extensions to add fullness, length, or support for your hairstyle.
If you plan to color your hair, we recommend completing your color service before your trial so we can create the best possible match for your wedding day. If you plan to use extensions, ordering them too far in advance can be risky because they may not be eligible for exchange if you later change your hair color. Extensions cannot be colored, so waiting until your hair color is finalized helps ensure a flawless match.
Absolutely! We offer hair and makeup customization appointments to everyone, including your mom, sister, and other members of your bridal party.
Bring inspiration photos, your veil ( it’s okay if you don’t have it yet) or hair accessories, and any extensions you plan to wear. It’s also helpful to bring a photo of your dress and any jewelry or accessories so we can create a cohesive look. Wear white or beige and a top with a similar neckline, if possible!
FAQs
Regular trims are recommended to keep your ends healthy and your hair looking its best leading up to the wedding.
If your hair is very frizzy or textured and you would like to change your natural curl pattern, a keratin treatment is highly recommended. Be sure to schedule any chemical treatment well in advance so your hair has time to settle and your stylist can work with it properly on the wedding day.
Your hair should be clean, completely dry, and free of heavy oils or styling products unless we provide different instructions. Clean hair gives us the best foundation for creating a secure, long-lasting style. Please wash and blow dry your hair the day before.
Yes. We work with a variety of hair types, lengths, textures, and densities. During your consultation or trial, we’ll discuss your hair goals and recommend the best approach for creating a beautiful, secure style.
FAQs
Not necessarily! The majority of down styles and half-up, half-down styles do benefit from one or two packs of clip-in extensions, but they are not required for everyone. Most inspiration photos do have a pack or two of extensions.
If you have very thick, healthy hair that holds a style well, you may be an exception to this general recommendation. Your stylist can help determine whether extensions would be beneficial for your desired look.
If you are wearing your hair up, you also may not need them, depending on the look and your hair condition, we can determine what’s best for you.
Clip-in extensions vary in price depending on the length, thickness, and color of the hair. Generally, the more hair and length you need, the higher the cost.
Every bride’s hair and desired style are different. Some clients may only need half a pack, while others may benefit from two full packs to achieve the desired fullness and length.
A consultation before your trial is the best way to determine exactly what will work for you. We’ll consider your natural hair, the style you’re envisioning, and your overall hair goals to recommend the appropriate amount and type of extensions.
Our goal is to make sure you invest in only what you need to achieve your desired look.
If you have any skin conditions or concerns, we highly recommend consulting a doctor or dermatologist well in advance of your wedding day so you can receive proper treatment and guidance.
Avoid introducing new products or treatments close to the wedding, as unexpected reactions can affect how your makeup applies and wears.
